About Hullside
Independent boating news, and the sold-price data the industry doesn’t publish.
Hullside covers boating the way a trade desk would: what was built, what was recalled, what changed hands, and — the part nobody else prints — what it actually sold for.
Listing prices are easy to find and close to meaningless. The number that matters is the one on the closing statement, and it is scattered across dealers, auction results and documented transfers. Hullside is collecting those into the Hullside Index, and reporting the news around them.
How we work
- Specifications on our model pages carry the source each figure came from. Where we cannot source a number, we leave it blank rather than estimate it.
- We do not tag or index people. Recorded sales are about boats, not about who owned them.
- Photography is real. No stock couples laughing on bows.
